Truth

Bible Verse of the Day

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

John 14:6

Yesterday we began to look at this passage by talking about that Jesus is the only way to the Father.  Today we will focus on what He means when He says He is the Truth.

The Greek word for truth used in this verse is Alethia which means and is pronounced:

 alétheia: truth

Original Word: ἀλήθεια, ας, ἡ
Part of Speech: Noun
Transliteration: alétheia
Phonetic Spelling: (al-ay'-thi-a)
Definition: truth
Usage: truth, but not merely truth as spoken; truth of idea, reality, sincerity, truth in the moral sphere, divine truth revealed to man, straightforwardness.

Notice that Jesus is the full truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth…

Jesus is the truest thing we can have in our lives.   There is no falseness in Him, not in His words, His actions, or His intent.

You can trust Him and His heart towards you 100 percent, without fail, without question… Getting the picture 😊

You see the enemy tries everything he can to get us to doubt this, our job is to hold on to the truth and let Him surround us in His love.

Today take time to invite Jesus to show you His truth and love.

In the Father’s love, Sam
