Who is your Best Friend?

I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

John 15:15

Over the last few days we have been looking at the heart of Jesus, our Savior, our Redeemer, and our friend. But why?

First of all, it is good to know the heart of the one the loves us the most authentically and unconditionally. He is truly our best friend.

Second, since we are made in the image of the Trinity.  We have that same heart.

A heart that can be full of compassion, love, mercy, and grace; as well as fierce to battle injustice and fight for those we love.   We just need the confidence and the wisdom to know what each situation calls for.

As I have gotten older, I have realized there is a lot I do not know (lol you I know you knew that about me) but I have learned to ask the Holy Spirit to guide me through the challenges of life.

It is my prayer today for you and for I that we will turn to the Father to teach us, the Son to nurture us, and the Holy Spirit to guide us in the situations we face each day.
